Health, Safety & Environment
The Responsible Care program is a voluntary, public and active initiative from the chemical companies whose objective is that the adhered companies, in the development of their activities, achieve continuous improvements in relation to the Safety, Health Protection and Environment according to the Sustainable Development principles.
Responsible Care is a worldwide program implemented in 52 countries around the world. In Spain it is managed and co-ordinated by the “Federación Empresarial de la Industria Química Española (FEIQUE)”.
Objectives:

Promote and achieve a continuous improvement of the Safety, Health and Environment performance.

Establish qualitative and quantitative goals and targets to monitor progress

Show the community the appropriate individual and collective behaviour of the chemical sector.

Provide management tools to improve continuously the Safety, Health and Environmental management.
More than 60% the chemical spanish sector join the Responsible Care program. Every 2 years, FEIQUE publishes the results achieved by the companies who join the program (Development report).
The progress is not only qualitative but quantitative. Every two years, FEIQUE publishes the achieved results in those enterprises where RC Program is implemented, through a public report.
